Learn French Fundamentals!
This is a communication-oriented
course. The aim of this course is to enable students to develop basic
proficiency in French and inter-cultural competence, so that they are
able to communicate effectively with native speakers in a variety of situations.
This course focuses on the development of listening and speaking skills
and reading and writing abilities. It provides students with the knowledge
of the basic structures of French. Cultural studies focus on developing
an awareness and appreciation of the French culture.
Foreign language instructional technology is an essential component of
this course. It involves the use of multimedia materials to facilitate
and enhance language learning. The course requires continuous and independent
work to consolidate the knowledge and linguistic skills taught in class.
